Grupo Folclórico de Bailares e Bailados de São Miguel - Toronto

Founded in October, 1998 by Gloria and Miguel Correia in the Parish of Saint Agnes, the group made its début during the Senhor da Pedra Festival in 1990 under the supervision of Eduardo Aguiar. Composed of 35 elements with ages ranging from 10 to 57, the Group has been invited to perform far and wide, being the only Island of São Miguel group to perform to live music.

Amongst its numerous excursions throughout the North American continent, the Group's performances in the towns of Hull, Laval and Ville D' Anjou in the Province of Quebec and Central Falls, Fall River and Pawtucket in the U.S.A. are worthy of mention. The year 2000 saw the Group's all time dream come true when it traveled to São Miguel with its "À PROCURA DAS RAÍZES - IN SEARCH OF OUR ROOTS" Project, having taken part in the 8th International Folk Festival held in the Parish of Relva, amongst many other performances throughout the Island.

Since its founding the Group has been accompanied by local musicians well known by the local Portuguese community.
