Amanda Pontes was born November 7, 1988 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She is a lively, dynamic girl who just loves music. Amanda attended Ballet, Tap e Jazz classes at the Royal Dance Conservatory for 4 years and has taken part in several theatrical productions, folkdance groups and Carnival dances, but always singing.

Amanda Pontes has performed in Canada in Calgary, Edmonton, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Victoria, Vancouver, Winnipeg, in the United States (California and Rhode Island), in the Azores (Islands of Terceira and Santa Maria) as well as Brazil. She has also been in several shows along with other popular artists in Europe, Brazil and has even performed for the President of the Autonomous Region of Madeira but Canada and the United States remain her major outlet.

On July 24, 1999, Amanda won "Best Foreign Song" award at the "Chaminé D' Ouro" Children's Festival in the Algarve, Portugal. She also came in second in the Juvenile song contest * "Novos Talentos 2002" on the WJFD - FM radio channel,

Amanda recently launched her first CD, recorded with the DISMUSICA LTD label.
